These accessibility solutions use a chair or platform that is mounted on a rail so that when a person climbs into the chair or wheelchair on the platform, the person moves along the rail following the path of the ladder. A plug is often required to provide power to the stairlift, although most are equipped with a rechargeable battery.
The lift chairs usually come with a fixed chair and the stairlift or lift platforms are prepared to be used with wheelchairs.
In some cases, they have hooks or accessories to transport a folded wheelchair or small loads (such as cartons of milk or groceries).

The stairlift is a designed and approved lifting system, designed to solve the mobility needs of people with reduced mobility at home, without the need to carry out works. Also for single-family homes and places where due to space limitations it is not possible to install another lifting device.
